The whole week, in one system.
Most planners stop at work. Axis treats your week as one architecture — habits, rituals, workouts, and daily check-ins live alongside your work blocks, not in a different app.
01 — Habits
Named statements of intent. Tracked daily.
Habits in Axis aren’t time blocks. They’re binary success checks — did you do the thing today, or didn’t you? Pair them alongside your week to confirm the small, consistent moves that compound.
How it works
- Flexible cadence — every day, weekdays only, specific days of the week, or a weekly target count
- Three honest states each day: did it, didn’t, or didn’t answer. Failure is recorded, not hidden
- Consistency is measured across a rolling window. A single missed day doesn’t reset everything
- Habits don’t schedule time. They confirm intent alongside the blocks already on your calendar
Why no streaks: because a missed day shouldn’t feel like a setback. Rolling consistency tells you the truth without punishing reality.
02 — Rituals
Six transitions, six checklists.
Rituals are how you cross thresholds — into the workday, out of it, into the week, out of it. Each one is an ordered list of steps, optionally timed. Axis generates ritual blocks on your calendar from your active set so you don’t have to remember to schedule them.
Morning
How you arrive at the day before work even begins.
Startup
Re-engaging with your work before the workday begins — so the first deep block isn’t spent figuring out where you left off.
Shutdown
Disengaging from work so recovery can actually begin. Open loops captured, the day released.
Evening
How you wind down so tomorrow has something to start from.
Week Startup
How you enter a new week with intention before it enters you.
Week Shutdown
How you close the week — what shipped, what slipped, what next week opens with.
You can keep more than one ritual of the same type — a different morning routine for weekdays vs. weekends, for instance — and choose which one Axis schedules by default.
03 — Workouts
Templates, schedules, and a logging surface that doesn’t fight you.
Build the workout once. Pick the days. When a workout block lands on your calendar, it already knows which workout it is — log it from the block in a tap.
How it works
- Build a workout once. Strength, bodyweight, cardio, or timed — each captures only the fields that matter
- Tap the days you want it on. The week schedule updates live
- Workout blocks on your calendar already know which workout they are. You don’t enter it twice
- Check the day’s routine from the mobile app — at the gym, on the road, anywhere you train
- Log it from the block — sets, reps, weight, distance, or duration — without leaving Today
Logging is shaped to the kind of work — sets and reps for strength, distance for cardio, minutes for timed — so you’re not staring at fields that don’t apply.
04 — Daily Check-Ins
Two short forms. One quiet anchor.
The check-ins capture the lightweight context that makes the rest of the system smarter — energy, priority, what carries over. Skipping is fine. Filling them in feeds the AI's context and the weekly review’s narrative.
Startup
Energy entering the day. Top priority. A line of intent if you want it.
Today’s anchor
A single freeform note that surfaces in chat context all day. Set in startup or in the Day Plan Wizard.
Shutdown
What got done. What carried over. What tomorrow opens with. Energy exiting.
Week-level
Capacity, top priorities, constraints, and a closing reflection at week’s end.
One architecture
Why this lives in the same app as your work.
Your morning ritual sets up the deep work block. The deep work block hands off to a recovery block. The recovery block sets up the workout. The workout feeds the energy reading you’ll log at shutdown — which informs how next week gets planned.
None of this works if it’s in five different apps. The pattern only emerges when the data lives together.
That’s the case for Axis treating your week as one thing. Not because it’s cleaner — because it’s the only way the loop closes.
Plan the week you actually want to live.
